Petro-canada, a subsidiary of Suncor, announced the completion of its coast-to-coast network of quick chargers for electric vehicles. From nova scotia to the location of the British Columbia, the trans-canada highway now allow Canadian electric car drivers across the country.
At present, the network in cities and towns more than 50 sites, each site is equipped with a CHAdeMO and CCS/SAE connector DC quick charger. The charger currently provides up to 200 kW of charging capacity, but is designed to be upgraded to 350 kW in the future.
The charging network received $4.6 million from the Canadian government's electric vehicles and alternative fuel infrastructure deployment program.
